We specialize in wildlife only. We do not do
bugs. Because our focus is on wildlife you can be assured that you
will get the best service. Adirondack Dundee leads the industry in
innovative, humane, exclusionary techniques to ensure that your
wildlife problem is solved permanently!
One question that people always ask is "What do we do with sick
injured or orphaned critters?” Well, we are glad you asked!!! When
we have an animal that fits that description and has a good chance
to recover and be released, we contact a wildlife rehabber to care
for the animal and heal or nurture until the critter will eventually
be released.
Wildlife rehabbers are volunteers that are licensed by a state
agency to take injured, sick or orphaned wildlife and care for them
until they can be released into the wild. They wind up spending
hundreds to thousands of dollars out of their own pocket every year
without help from any government agency. They solely rely on
DONATIONS from the public and private businesses. Rehabbers are
an invaluable resource for many baby animals and injured critters.
If it were not for them, these animals would be left in the wild to
parish! Rehabbers tend to have many sleepless nights during baby
seasons because some of these little critters have to be fed around
the clock. On top of this ongoing job, they still find the time to
work their full time jobs and/or take care of their families.
Adirondack
Dundee supports the wildlife rehabilitators in the northeastern
part of New York by contributing materials and labor for cage
building, purchasing supplies and equipment( from protection equipment
like catch poles and gauntlet gloves or food supplies for the
patients, bedding supplies. etc.) we also contribute cash for all
of these supplies and for other things I.E. vaccinations
(preventive rabies shots range from $500 to $1000 for the
series of injections) for the rehabbers, general office
supplies and so on...
